GR9 titanium rod has the following advantages.

(1) It can meet the requirements of lightweight building materials

GR9 titanium rod has a small density, about 60% of steel and 50% of copper, but it has almost the same strength as ordinary steel. As a building, it can reduce weight by 70% to 75%, and is easy to lift, and can make the center of gravity of the building move down, improving the overall seismic resistance of the building.

(2) Good processability and weldability

GR9 titanium rod has good cold and hot working performance, and can be connected between components using general welding process, and the self-recoverable oxide film on the surface of titanium can prevent welding damage. In addition, according to the needs of customers, a variety of secondary processing technologies and means can be used to process the surface of titanium materials, such as etching, embossing, spinning, sandblasting, shot peening, electroplating and drilling.

(3) Good corrosion resistance

Titanium can quickly form a solid oxide film on its surface in situ in the air without coating a layer of anti-corrosion film, so that it has excellent corrosion resistance in oxidizing acid, alkali and salt media, especially in wet chlorine and sea water, and can resist urban pollution, industrial radiation and extreme erosion. It is very suitable for the roof and wall of buildings.

(4) Low coefficient of thermal expansion

Compared with other metal building materials, the thermal expansion coefficient of titanium is small, about 50% of that of stainless steel and 30% of that of aluminum. It is close to glass, brick, cement and stone, and is suitable for sharing. The thermal stress of titanium is very low, which is 1/2 of that of stainless steel and 1/3 of that of aluminum. It can be used as a whole material without joints to compensate for thermal expansion and contraction.

(5) No environmental pollution

Due to its good corrosion resistance, titanium and titanium alloy materials can be recycled 100% without polluting the environment and can be called green environmental protection materials.
