Thermal conductivity of titanium

It is said that metal has fast thermal conductivity. Titanium is a kind of metal, and its thermal conductivity is naturally not slow, but it is much slower than some common metals. From the current data, the thermal conductivity of titanium is close to that of stainless steel, about one fourth of that of aluminum and about one fifth of that of iron.

Everyone may think that the more pure titanium metal is, the greater its hardness is. In fact, titanium is not very hard. On the contrary, some titanium that is not very pure is surprisingly hard, and some impurities can improve its hardness.

Titanium is a rare metal. The reason for this idea is that titanium is too stable to develop and smelt, so it is natural for everyone to think so if they see little. In fact, the storage of titanium accounts for 0.6% of the region, accounting for the ninth place, and the storage is very large.

Titanium alloy is lighter than aluminum alloy. Although the density of titanium alloy is higher than that of aluminum alloy, why do some equipment pursuing lightweight still use titanium alloy? This is because titanium alloy has a higher strength-to-weight ratio, and thinner materials can be used to achieve the same strength and hardness. Therefore, the shell and parts made of titanium alloy are generally lighter than those made of aluminum.

The activity of titanium. Titanium metal presents different reactivity at different temperatures. Titanium is very stable in normal temperature air and is not easy to react. However, it has strong chemical activity at high temperature and can easily react with many gases.
