(1) Select an appropriate grinding wheel, such as silicon carbide grinding wheel, with medium particle size (60~80), medium hardness (J~M) and surface speed of 700~1200m/min. The alumina (alumina powder or corundum) grinding wheel should be rotated at a lower speed, such as 550~600min. Medium granularity is also required.

(2) Lower grinding wheel speed and feed speed; Because the grinding wheel speed is low, less sparks are generated.

(3) Titanium sparks may catch fire when encountering oil mist, but the risk can be reduced by completely immersing the workpiece in oil. Rust-proof ammonium nitrite aqueous solution can completely eliminate the fire hazard.

(4) Cool with buffer or cutting liquid cooling agent, and use ceramic binder and chlorinated or vulcanized cutting oil to obtain good results. Whatever coolant is used, it should be well filtered to eliminate "fishtail" stains caused by titanium particle recovery.
