AP, March 15, Fu Linghui, spokesman for the National Bureau of Statistics of the People’s Republic of China, said that despite facing great pressure, but foreign trade has many advantages to promote stability and quality. First, China’s foreign trade growth is based on our very good industrial system and complete production capacity. A few years ago, because of the impact of the epidemic, epidemic prevention materials, consumer electronics shortages are more prominent. As China’s industrial system is relatively complete and capable of adjustment, we quickly adjusted production capacity to adapt to changes in external demand, which led to high growth in foreign trade, and these are the most important basis for foreign trade. Second, we have persisted in opening up to the outside world and actively promoted economic and trade cooperation with other countries. Last year, our imports and exports to the “Belt and Road” countries grew by 19.4% . Last year our country to RCEP other country import and export growth 7.5% , maintains the quite fast growth, has played the important role regarding the stability foreign trade. In the first two months of this year, our imports and exports to the “Belt and Road” countries rose by 10.2% , of which exports to the countries along the routes rose by 15.2% , which played a positive role in stabilizing foreign trade. Third, the new momentum of foreign trade has been gradually strengthened in recent years. Cross-border e-commerce and overseas warehouse development speed is very fast, in the future with the development of digital economy, digital trade may become a new growth point of foreign trade growth.
