What's titanium bolt?

Titanium bolts: Mechanical parts, cylindrical threaded fasteners with nuts. A class of fasteners consisting of a head and a screw (a cylinder with an external thread) in conjunction with a nut for fastening two parts with a through hole. This form of connection is called bolt connection. If the nut is removed from the bolt, the two parts can be separated, so the bolt connection is a detachable connection.

Titanium bolts have many names, and each person may have different names. Some people call them titanium screws, some people call them bolt nails, and some people call them fasteners. There are so many names, but they all mean the same thing. They're all bolts.

What’s the loading mode of titanium bolt?

Titanium bolts are classified as follows:

1. Bolts are divided into ordinary and hinged holes according to the force mode of connection.

Three, the thread is divided into two categories according to the length of full thread and non - full thread.

5. Bolts are divided into eight grades according to their performance grades: 3.6, 4.8, 5.6, 6.8, 8.8, 9.8, 10.9 and 12.9. Bolts above 8.8 (including 8.8) are generally referred to as high-strength bolts, and bolts below 8.8 (excluding 8.8) are generally referred to as ordinary bolts.

6. Common bolts can be divided into three grades: A, B and C according to the production accuracy. Grade A and B are refined bolts and grade C are crude bolts.

Why are titanium bolts so popular?

 Because titanium is a reactive element, a thin TiO2 oxide film can be formed on the surface of the material at the moment of exposure to air. This oxide film is highly inert, which can prevent further oxidation and corrosion, and ensure good biocompatibility of titanium. In terms of mechanical properties, titanium has low density, high mechanical strength, and elastic modulus closer to bone tissue than other medical metals.

Titanium bolt detection methods are divided into two kinds: manual and machine. 

Manual is the most original and the most commonly used method of detection. In order to minimize the outflow of defective products, the general production enterprise personnel visually inspect the packaged or delivered products to exclude defective products (including dental damage, mixing, rust, etc.).

Another way for the machine automatic detection, mainly magnetic particle detection. Magnetic particle testing is based on the interaction between the leakage magnetic field at the defect of the bolt and the magnetic particle. In view of the difference between the permeability of the bolt (such as cracks, slag inclusion, mixing, etc.) and the permeability of the steel, the magnetic field at the discontinuity of these materials will change after magnetization.

Forming part of the magnetic flux leakage workpiece surface generated leakage magnetic field, so as to attract magnetic powder formation defect of magnetic powder accumulation - magnetic trace, under appropriate lighting conditions, show the defect position and shape, the accumulation of these magnetic powder to observe and explain, has achieved the purpose of eliminating defective products.
