GR2 Round Bar

GR2 round bar is a kind of material formed by rolling or extrusion of titanium and titanium alloy. The common ones are pure titanium bar and titanium alloy bar. The titanium rod has good heat resistance and its melting point is up to 1725 ℃. At normal temperature, titanium can not be corroded in various strong acid and alkali solutions, even aqua regia can not corrode it. Because of its corrosion resistance, titanium is often used in the chemical industry. In the past, the components containing hot nitric acid in chemical reactors were made of stainless steel. Stainless steel cannot resist the strong corrosive agent - hot nitric acid, and most parts must be replaced every six months. Now, although the cost of using titanium to make these parts is higher than that of stainless steel parts, it can be replaced continuously for five to 10 years, so the annual cost of sharing is much lower.

At the beginning of titanium smelting in the last century, the output was only 2 tons. Later, due to the maturity of technology, the output of titanium has been greatly improved. The hardness of GR2 round bar is about the same as that of steel, and its weight is only half that of steel. Although titanium is a little heavier than aluminum, its hardness is twice that of aluminum. At present, titanium is widely used to replace steel in aerospace applications. According to statistics, the amount of titanium used for space navigation in the world has reached more than 1000 tons every year. Therefore, titanium is known as cosmic metal and space metal. Titanium rod can not be corroded in strong acid and strong alkali solution and strong corrosive environment. Its excellent conductivity and corrosion resistance are widely used in industrial production such as petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, salt making, alkali making, etc., and have received huge social and economic benefits.

Application of GR2 round bar in chemical industry and pharmaceutical industry

(1) Chemical materials. The excellent performance of titanium rod and titanium equipment has made it widely used in the scale of chemical materials. For example, ozone disinfection is also used in the drinking water treatment. At the same time, it also uses the characteristics of titanium rod filter element. The oxidation resistance of titanium rod filter element makes it have the characteristics of ozone exposure and water filtration after ozone disinfection. The specific high strength of titanium rod filter element will not fall off. It has been widely used in reverse osmosis filtration, electroosmosis filtration and ultrafiltration system filtration in water treatment. The titanium rod filter element can replace the mechanical filter, realizing small size, low cost, good performance, and convenient installation and regeneration.

Medical materials. With the implementation of pharmaceutical GMP, titanium plate and

titanium equipment have been widely used in the filtration of pharmaceutical infusion, small injections and pharmaceutical intermediates, and now 80% of injection and infusion manufacturers in the country have been applied. In addition, because titanium material is non-toxic and has good compatibility with human body, titanium plate, titanium rod, titanium wire and other titanium materials have been used in medical surgery as human implants in various hospital clinics.
